Cardinals can't stop WVU's White, suffer fourth consecutive defeat
West Virginia quarterback Pat White rushed for 200 yards and was responsible for all of the Mountaineers' touchdowns in a 35-21 victory yesterday. The Cardinals (5-6, 1-5 Big East Conference) suffered their fourth straight defeat heading into their regular-season finale at Rutgers on Dec. 4.

Cardinals dust off Morehead
This was more like it. The University of Louisville men's basketball team put the hammer down in the second half to pound Morehead State 79-41 in a season-opening victory. The third-ranked Cardinals put smiles on faces of the 19,493 at Freedom Hall after the football team fell to West Virginia at home in the afternoon.
