Depew wins first state softball championship
Depew entered the Class A state softball final with a different strategy. Head coach Sheldon Fairchild wanted junior pitcher Michelle Hanna to work the inside of the plate. Permit fees in spotlight at South Miami meeting
Adding, deleting and increasing permit fees were a lengthy issue at Tuesday's South Miami Commission meeting. The ordinance as a whole passed unanimously, but not before Commissioner Jay Beckman made an amendment that not everyone agreed with.
