"The government's record over Home Affairs and justice is not a happy one and is at complete variance with the aspirations in the Queen's Speech. It has presided over the virtual doubling of violent crime, whilst its incessant red-tape and regulation has tied the hands of the police.

Mumbai Attack Linked to Pakistan Group, Officials Say (Update1)
Dec. 3 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Director of National Intelligence Michael McConnell said the group behind last week?s assault on Mumbai also carried out a 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament, which authorities blamed on the Pakistan-based militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
