2 vie for Otsego board chair
At least two members of the Otsego County Board of Representatives, James Powers and Donald Lindberg, are interested in chairing the board next year.The post pays $19,829 a year.Powers, R-Butternuts, is completing his first year at the helm and says he would like another.

Life without Burress will be a true test
Tuesday, December 2 Plaxico Burress' turbulent season was at last defined on Friday night in a scene so absurd, it was easy to mistake the ensuing headlines for metaphors - or just really lousy jokes. But as perfectly as it summed up Burress' season, it wasn't a metaphor. The Giants' star wide receiver really did shoot himself in the leg at a New York club.
