Children's Charity plans ornament fundraiser
SALEM and mdash; The Salem Children's Charity, which raised more than $23,000 last year for needy schoolchildren, will hold its annual Christmas party Dec. 16 at Victoria Station. The fundraiser began 15 years ago at Carlton School and has grown into a citywide effort that provides winter clothing, food certificates, fuel vouchers and other assistance to local families.
