Man sent to jail for 18 months in knife assault
SALEM and mdash; A Salem man will have one less thing to worry about as he serves in the Marines, after a Stoneham man was sent to jail for 18 months yesterday. Jose Aponte, 22, pleaded guilty to holding a knife to the throat of William Buttner, 18, during an argument last month outside an apartment on Leavitt Street.
