Claire is supposed to be receiving child support for her two children, but she hasn't for the past two months. That makes it very difficult for her to keep up with her bills and buy enough food. She has tried to apply for food stamps but doesn't qualify. Food stamps are based on income, and because the Department of Revenue thinks she is receiving child support, she can't get the stamps.
