Salem, power plant sign $14.25M tax deal
SALEM and mdash; The city this afternoon announced a new three-year, $14.25 million deal with its largest taxpayer, the owner of the Salem Harbor Station power plant. Under the tax agreement, Virginia-based Dominion will pay the city $4.75 million a year through 2011.
