Warthogs become the Dash
WINSTON-SALEM - The local minor league baseball team announced today that it will call itself the Dash next season. The new name was picked from among 3,000 submissions. The Dash was one of five finalists. The others were Aviators, Racers, Rhinos and Wallbangers. The new nickname replaces Warthogs. Panel votes to double Salem T station parking fee
SALEM and mdash; There was more bad news for commuters yesterday when the city's Parking Board voted to double the parking fee in its portion of the MBTA commuter rail lot. The board's recommendation to go from $2 to $4 follows a similar move by the MBTA, which began collecting the higher fee two weeks ago.
