Locals run Wild Turkey 5 Mile race
The Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run was held Thursday, Nov. 27, in Salem. Over 995 runners participated in the race including four Medford residents. Brian VanDeBogert, 26, led the Medford contingent finishing 193 rd overall with a time of 38:18.

Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run results
The Wild Turkey 5, Mile Run was held Thursday, Nov. 27, at 8, a.m. in Salem. Over 995 runners participated in the race including eight Hamilton and 15 Wenham residents. Dean Phillips, 33, was Wenham?s top runner finishing 23 rd overall with a time of 30:36. Thomas Cook, 50, took top honors for Hamilton, placing 243 rd overall with a time of 39:45.

William ?Bubbs? Scothern
William Scothern, 84, who had worked in ranching and accounting, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Edgewood Vista. He was born April 27, 1924, to William and Mary Willora Scothern in Billings. He graduated from school in Huntley Project. He later married Evelyn K. Goodman in Salem, Ore.
