These shows have lost touch with reality
Reality shows like Bravo's "Real Housewives" or MTV's "My Super Sweet 16" were funny because we were stunned by the willingness of "real" people to spend long green on anything. Given the current environment, watching someone spend without a care has lost its appeal.
