No panda for Albuquerque's Rio Grande Zoo (1:07 p.m.)
ALBUQUERQUE? Albuquerque City Hall's $56,000 effort to acquire a Chinese panda for the Rio Grande Zoo has been abandoned. "The Chinese thought there were too many panda pairs in the United States," said Ray Darnell, Albuquerque's director of cultural services.
