Sage grouse habitat focus of new study
RENO -- A new study by an environmental group that wants the sage grouse listed as a threatened or endangered species shows less than 5 percent of what's left of its dwindling habitat across the West is federally protected.

Mosquito Fogging in the Valley
West Nile Virus has been detected right here in the Valley, and Tuesday is the third and final day officials will fog for mosquitos in Palm Springs. Fogging lasts for 1 hour and poses little or no risk to humans or animals. It began on Sunday near the Mosquito Sewer Treatment Facility on Vella Road.
