Islamic states slam violence against Iraq Christians
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia, Oct 14, 2008 (AFP) - The Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) on Tuesday condemned deadly attacks against Christians in northern Iraq which have been blamed for the flight of over 1,000 families.

Lake trustees seek review of wetlands proposal
LAKE TWP. Township trustees have requested a public hearing on an Army Corps of Engineers proposal to create a wetland bank southeast of Hartville. The plan calls for using about 100 acres of land that is south of the village's industrial park, Trustee Ellis Erb said.

Gulley rose through Safeway ranks
Joseph "Joe" M. Gulley, 49, a top Alaska manager for Carrs/Safeway, died peacefully Oct. 11, 2008, at his home in Eagle River, surrounded by family and close friends. Joe was diagnosed with lung cancer in June 2008 and fought a courageous battle against his cancer.
