Sullivan was a rock band from Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. All 3 original members of Sullivan worked at the same Music Go Round franchise in Greensboro. They were originally signed to Tooth & Nail Records label. In 2006, they released their international debut, Hey, I'm a Ghost. They released their second album, Cover Your Eyes, on June 5, 2007.
Phil Chamberlain's brother, Spencer Chamberlain, is the screaming lead vocalist portion of Underoath. They were also in the metalcore band, This Runs Through (along with current Sullivan guitarist Tyson Shipman) previous to their current musical projects.
Former Sullivan drummer Mike Lawrence has played drums in Tribunal Records metalcore band Heartscarved and currently plays keyboards in Curse Your Name. He is a popular producer with many albums and demos to his credit.
In a MySpace bulletin, the band asked the fans to choose their first single from the album Cover Your Eyes and gave the choices "F-Stop", "Tell Me I'm Wrong", "The Process", and "Fire Away". Currently, "The Process" is beating the others by far and is most likely going to be the next single.
The band split up in late 2007 whilst still on their headlining tour, "Cover Your Eyes Tour". The band posted a blog in which they revealed they "didn't want things to come to this", but that "the best course of action for our members is to disband" even though there was "no bad blood between any of us"[citation needed]
A final goodbye message found on the band's Purevolume page stated,
"SULLIVAN HAS BROKEN UP BUT LOVES YOU FOREVER,
Brooks"
The members are confirmed to play a reunion show at the Taking Back The Streets Festival in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina on August 21, 2008. And at the Greene Street Club on August 22, 2008. [also in North Carolina]
