Curb was the debut album by Nickelback, released in 1996. The album has quite a strong cult following. The album and title track were named for Chad Kroeger's friend, Kirby, who had sneaked out to visit his girlfriend but actually crashed his car into her car, since she also snuck out to see him, unbeknownst to him. This is also the reason for the wrecked car image on the original version of the album, and the lone road image on the re-released version. It sold 100,000 copies as an independent release. Curb was the second and only one of two albums to feature lead singer Chad Kroeger's cousin Brandon Kroeger as a drummer. He can also be seen in the music video for the single of this album "Fly". When the album was re-released in 2002, it charted on Billboard 200 albums chart at #182. [1]

Singles
"Fly" is the first single released by Nickelback from their album Curb, and a music video was shot for it, also a first for the band. The drums featured in the song were played by the original drummer for Nickelback, Brandon Kroeger. "Fly" was played on local radios, but wasn't very successful. The music video was released on June 13 1997. Much Music was the only channel to ever show it.
Meaning
It is about Chad Kroeger as a kid, asking where bad men go when they die, and his mother tells him that them grow wings and they fly to Heaven or Hell. He is still mystified, though, and he wants to try to "fly" using his father's gun to kill himself to see where he goes.
