The She (-) people are an ethnic group. They form one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China.
They are the largest minority in the Fujian province. They are also present in the provinces of Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi and Guangdong.
Language
The She language is a Hmong-Mien language. Most of the She today speak Chinese dialects, like Hakka. Those who retain their own language - approximately 1,200 individuals in Guangdong province - call themselves Ho Ne "mountain people" (Chinese: -- huóniè).
