Sheldon Haley, better known as Shay or Shae, is an American musician. He is the third member of the funk rock band, N*E*R*D, who often contributes backup vocals, while Pharrell carries lead duties, and Chad Hugo supplies the production.
Haley appears to keep away from the spotlight, compared to his band mates, Williams, and, to a lesser extent, Hugo, who are both members of the production duo The Neptunes. During an interview by The Source Magazine, Haley stated that this is all intentional as he does not wish to pay the price of fame, such as being mobbed by masses of fans or having to hire a bodyguard.
He cites The Beatles as the rock act which was his main influence and inspiration.
