"Set It Off" is the first single off of N.O.R.E.'s fifth album Noreality. It is produced by Swizz Beatz and features newcomer J. Ru$$. Swizz Beatz is featured on the hook but his voice is chopped & screwed. This is the second song Swizz Beatz produced called "Set It Off" the first was by artists Young Gunz. The song is N.O.R.E.'s transition back into the hip hop world from reggaeton.
Music Video
The music video was directed by Antwan Smith and was shot entirely at Crazy Hood Headquarters in New York. Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, Capone, Smitty and other various artists make cameo appearances in the video. [1]
Remixes
- "Set It Off" has an official remix which features Sho, Busta Rhymes, Talib Kweli, Cassidy, & Red Cafe
- Another official remix to "Set It Off" features an added beat to the song and it features Sho (of The Final Chapter), Capone, Mistah F.A.B., Joell Ortiz, Mims, Garcia, & DJ Efn (this remix is known as "The Remix Part 2")
- There are two separate remixes perhaps because of the problems between Talib Kweli and Mims.
- A third remix features Remix Part 1 with the added beat and an intro and outro by DJ Envy.
