Rock Sound is a British magazine which champions alternative music. The magazine aims at being more "underground" and less commercial. It covers new music including Mastodon, Modest Mouse, Slayer, and Sigur Rós.
History
The UK edition of Rock Sound (also known as ROCKSOUND)[citation needed] was launched in March 1999 by the French publisher Editions Freeway, who had already published the title in France. It managed to establish itself in a very competitive market and was bought out by its director, Patrick Napier, in December 2004.
Circulation
Rock Sound has an ABC of 23,260.[citation needed] It is available on newsstands throughout the world.
