Banana (Serbian Cyrillic: ) were a former Yugoslav rock band.
Band history
The band was formed in 1985 in Belgrade. They released their debut album Pono-ni pasa-i ("Midnight sections") in 1986 in the following lineup: Aleksandra Tokovi- (daughter of a famous composer Dragan Tokovi-, vocals), Dragan Lon-ar (guitar), Boban „aranovi“ (bass guitar), Sr-an Cincar (keyboard) and Igor Borojevi- (drums). Album was pop-rock-oriented and featured guitarist Duda Bezuha, keyboardist Sa-a Lokner and a former Zamba member Bogdan Dragovi-. In the summer of 1987 the band performed in Czechoslovakia, and at the beginning of 1988 they released their second album Banana- produced by keyboardist „or“e Petrovi-. Aleksandra Tokovi- wrote seven songs which turned the band to more power pop-oriented sound. Soon after Banana disbaned. Borojevi- became a member of Partibrejkers, Aleksandra Tokovi- became a television presenter at Radio Television of Serbia and Cincar formed band Fantomi.
